Shew! This summer has been CER-AZEY (much like my spelling of that word). I had all these plans of finishing my book and getting it published and raking in some money and…you know what I did?
I made soap.
Yeah, I don’t know either. It sounded good at the time and, granted, people love the bath and body products I make, but here I am on Day 3 of my last semester in college and I still don’t have a finished book. I’m 20k away from the end. I feel like a failure! It’s true what all the people on AuthorTube tell you… you write more when you’re consistent. I guess for me, writing is a stress reliever and since I didn’t have as much stress over the summer, I had nothing to relieve.
Well, that’s all about to change. I’ve got chemistry, calculus, hydrology, and an english class this semester. The last two should be okay, but this first two might actually kill me.
Three and a half months. In three and a half months this will all be over and I can go back to being a real adult. Though that doesn’t sound so good right now…
Who knows, maybe I’ll be able to make it as a full time author, though?
Anyway. I have another bit of change going on. I ended up building a site with Wix and integrated my blog with my site, so I’ll be posting over there from now on. It’s much prettier and looks more professional than this (though that could be my own error). So if you’re enjoying reading my blog (and if so THANK YOU SO MUCH), please come see me over at the Fat Girl Blog (yeah, my humor is super self-depricating). I’ve got a couple weekly posts going up, Theory Thursday and Fiction Friday, so I think you’ll really enjoy it. I should be bringing in other authors on Fridays, too. If you have a short story you’d like me to consider posting, send me an email!
Thanks for sticking around and I hope to see you after the jump!
